Thanks going out to Ann Trainor for sending these photos showing the devastation of the Summerside wetlands due to the Ocean View Resort development. It isn’t just the provincial government that willingly turns a blind eye to our water and land protection laws. We very much appreciate residents sending photos in, as it is another way we can continue to raise awareness.
“The pictures are on the west end of the Summerside boardwalk, just past the lower walking bridge. They are very close to the Spa. The first photo was taken April 2025 and the second is April 2026.
The first photo from April 2025 shows a beautiful Blue Heron ! He’s there look closely!
I have been walking the boardwalk since it was developed.
I brought the clear cutting to my City Councillor last November 2025. Who did respond, but took it no further. I was assured all was given thorough care and attention.

Each picture was taken in the exact same spot one year apart. Look at the devastation at the hands of our government.
